Removed Tattoos Before and After

You may think your tattoo is cool now but what happens down the road when you don't like it so much anymore and want your tattoo removed?

The most effective (and expensive....and painful) way to remove a tattoo is by getting laser treatments.  The laser targets the ink under the skin, breaking it into smaller fragments that are cleared out by your body's immune system.  The downside is that this process isn't painless and blisters and scarring likely will result.  To make it even worse, the tattoo will not be removed in one single session.  It takes 10 or more treatments to see drastic improvement.

Another method to fade an older tattoo is to have the artist tattoo saline onto the tattoo.  The tattoo won't be removed but the vividness of the tattoo is decreased, making it easier to cover up with a different tattoo.

There are also products you can buy like Tat-B Gone which are less expensive than laser treatments.  They promise to fade your tattoo.  Maybe after fading it enough, laser treatment may be the next step to remove the tattoo completely.  Here is a before and after progression of a customer who used Tat-b-Gone.
